 Food Program

Rainbow Place serves approximately 3,775 hot dinners, bag lunches and breakfasts each season.  To keep expenses minimal, we rely on donations of prepared, ready-to-heat dinners, bag lunch items and breakfast foods to serve 25 women each date of the winter season.

Food Prep Volunteers can make casseroles in the comfort of their own home and deliver at a convenient date/time scheduled with our Volunteer Coordinator.  This can be a great family or small group project, too.  Casseroles should be able to feed 25-30 people and can be any variety.  For a list of casserole suggestions please click here .  Casseroles can be delivered hot or frozen.

As an individual, group or student project, volunteers can prepare bag lunches.  Variety of sandwiches (with no condiments please), chips or other individually wrapped/bagged snack or cookies, piece of fruit or fruit cup and bottle of water are appreciated.  Notes of encouragement and hope can be nice additions to each bag.  We can accept up to 30 lunches per day.  Please do not seal the brown bags in any way.  Scheduling delivery is important.  For a printable version of this information click here .   If you are interested or want more information, contact us at rainbow@rainbowplace.org.
