In Kind Donations

We are so grateful to all of you for your generous donations.

Thanks to your donations, Rainbow is fully stocked with clothing and toiletries.

Please check out our charity wish list on Amazon Smile to easily order items needed at the shelter and save yourself a trip. A list is also included below if you'd prefer to drop off donations yourself. Our greatest needs are at the top of the list in bold, and we could really use your help as we are running very low on supplies.

There are many other ways to donate to Rainbow Place.

We accept monetary donations as well as in-kind donations of food and supplies.

Approximately 30% of our annual budget comes from in-kind donations.

Monetary donations are used for facility maintenance, staff funding, to purchase food, paper, cleaning products, shelter supplies, and bus tokens.

Forever Stamps, Gift Cards to Sam's Club and Staples are always helpful and appreciated.

Food Accepted Year Round: 
Individually Wrapped Snacks (Chips, Cookies, Crackers, Granola Bars), Shelf Stable Juices (Apple, Cranberry, and Grape),Instant Hot Cocoa (Can), Instant Oatmeal (Packets), Breakfast Cereal, Instant Coffee - Decaf (Large Can), Powdered Coffee Creamer, Individually Wrapped Cups of Mixed Fruit, Pudding or Applesauce, Canned Goods, such as mixed vegetables, carrots, green beans, lima beans, tomatoes, baked beans, cans of tuna fish and chicken, beef stew, and Vienna sausages 

Paper Products:  
Coated Paper Plates (6" and 9"), Coated Paper Bowls, Hot and Cold Drink Cups (8-10 oz.), Napkins, Paper Towel Rolls, Zip Lock Gallon Freezer Bags, Zip Lock Sandwich Bags, Plastic Wrap, Aluminum Foil, Paper Lunch Bags, Disposable Knives, Forks, and Spoons 

Personal Items: 
Only deodorant and small toothpaste are needed at this time; however, keep in mind for future donations that travel size toiletries should be unopened and toothbrushes individually wrapped to keep them fresh and sanitary.

Volunteer Your Time

We need many volunteers year round to help us fulfill our mission here at Rainbow Place.  You can help as an Evening Meal Server or Preparer,  during the daytime, over a holiday and we need people as emergency resources at times.
